When it comes to building your new home, we want your journey to be as enjoyable as possible. From the initial meeting to receiving the keys to your dream home, the Baxter team will keep you informed and supported every step of the way.

The building process consists of many steps, which we discuss during our first meeting with you. It is important you understand the processes we implement and this makes us stand out from other builders.

initial meeting

Building a new home is a big commitment, something we completely understand. We offer friendly and helpful advice. You won’t find any pushy sales people. We offer valuable customer service so you immediately feel comfortable and confident with Baxter and the homes we build. Trust is the foundation of any good relationship – and we aim to foster trust in everything we do.

design

When we design a home we believe in looking at the people who will inhabit the space and how they like to live and interact. We take the time to understand your needs and the needs of your family to create a design based upon those requirements. We believe in quality of space over quantity of space and will take the time to discuss options and plans with you to ensure every detail is exactly how you’d like it.

selection

Choosing the colours and finishes for your new home is a fun and exciting part of the building journey. At Baxter Homes we go through an extensive selection process so you can decide exactly what is included in your home. You will be able to choose from a series of high quality fittings and finishes to create the home you’ve always dreamed of.

contracts

At Baxter we take a unique approach to the building process to ensure you are comfortable every step of the way. A small fee is asked upfront to cover the cost of important information like the survey report, soil testing and to finalise plans. Once we have agreed on the final design, a contract is signed and deposit paid which represents a percentage of the final contract. We believe our process is transparent and more suited to building a custom home, where the design and selections can vary and affect the price of the home. We don’t want you to have any surprises during the journey of building your home, it’s not just what you end up with that matters, it’s important how you get there too.

construction

Your official site construction is underway from the laying of your slab to the completion of your home! Your dedicated Project Manager will keep you informed throughout the journey. Our hands-on company director, Craig Baxter, is also involved at each step along the way, from initial introduction to the slab being laid, right through to the final inspection and handover. If a problem does arise during the building process we deal with it immediately. We don’t make any excuses and we will always be authentic, transparent and upfront. This way you can be assured of the quality of the home we are building.

contractors

We hand pick each of our tradespeople for their experience, commitment and the quality of their work and have worked with most of them for many years. Our clients often comment that each time they visit the site not only were our tradespeople friendly but they offered helpful and knowledgeable advice.

handover and aftercare

This is an exciting day, your Baxter home is now complete and you will soon be moving in to your brand new home! Your project manager will walk you through your new home and present you with keys, warranties and maintenance information and talk you through everything you need to know. Following this you will have a 13 week settling in period to identify and note any concerns that we will attend to. At Baxter we are proud of our work and value our relationships. We won’t just walk away. If there’s a problem, we will fix it, it’s as simple as that.
